Antique Chinese Brass Presentation Tray – Guangxu Tongbao Coins & Phoenix Motif,

Beautiful antique Chinese engraved brass presentation tray, dating from the late Qing Dynasty, Guangxu reign (circa 1880–1910). This square tray features a stunning phoenix (fenghuang) surrounded by finely engraved floral scrolls and a central medallion with a stylized longevity character. The border is decorated with repeating coin motifs inscribed “Guangxu Tongbao” (光緒通寶) and companion pseudo-script panels, evoking traditional Manchu or Sanskrit inscriptions.

The octagonal corners are engraved with floral designs and auspicious seal motifs, while the rim is finished with a rope-twist border. The tray is made of hand-hammered brass sheet, with natural patina and evidence of age consistent with a handcrafted late-19th-century piece.
