This glossary therefore wants to show more than just common synonyms, it conveys the ideas behind these concepts. It was created in the context of the book series Edition Digital Culture, which was published in six volumes from 2014 to 2019. Each of the six volumes dealt in depth with a topic in the field of digital culture. The illustrations come from the picture series that accompanied each of the six volumes as a graphic essay. Zur Digitalisierung gehört ein eigenes Vokabular. Dabei handelt es sich um mehr als nur Fachwörter: Oft geht es dabei um eigene Konzepte. Dieses Glossar will deshalb mehr als nur gängige Synonyme aufzählen, es vermittelt die Ideen, die hinter diesen Konzepten stehen. Entstanden ist es im Kontext der Buchreihe Edition Digital Culture, die von 2014 bis 2019 in sechs Bänden erschienen ist. Dabei hat jeder der sechs Bände ein Thema im Bereich der digitalen Kultur vertieft behan-delt.
